SEPTEMBER 2010 INFORMATION ABOUT THE CLUB AS SEEN ON THE GREAT SOUTH EAST (click on this link for video – must use Windows Media Player, you may need to pause to allow it to buffer). Dabblers enjoy their social activities and recreation at functions arranged by individual members themselves and publicised in the monthly newsletter. The variety of our activities is unlimited. We ‘dabble’ in almost anything our members wish to arrange, ie barbecues, bowling, croquet, bike riding, climbing, dancing, restaurant nights, camping trips, weekends away, theatre, movies, sporting activities, etc. The following activities are organised by members on a regular basis each month: Golf, Tennis, Book Discussion Group, Restaurant nights, Classical Music Group, Dancing, Movie Nights. The club has its 25^th year birthday this year, with about 300 members throughout the Brisbane area and beyond. It is non-profit making and is not connected with any other organisation or philosophy. Group A is aimed at the middle and older age groups; Group B is aimed at the middle and younger age groups. We aim to include everyone in most activities but at the same time give people some idea of the ages of the people they might be mixing with. MEMBERSHIP Membership is open to people aged 18 years and over. The annual subscription is $50.00, plus a one-time joining fee of $5.00. Additional household members may join for an annual fee of $30.00 (no joining fee), but only one newsletter is posted to the household. Before applying for membership of the club, you may have a free newsletter and attend as many functions listed in it as you wish. This will assist you to decide if the club is right for you.
